Founded in 2006 in the USA, Ribbies is now based in London (UK) and is mom owned and operated. The first Ribbies product was a simple patterned ribbon wrapped alligator clip sold in pairs, "Ribbies Clippies". The simplicity of the design was fresh. It also featured a foam strip as a nonslip grip, which worked really well. The foam strip innovation led to a deal with Target and is still an important part of the superior quality and value of Ribbies hair clips. All of our hair clips feature this non-slip grip which makes them hold exceptionally well in all types of hair, including thin hair. Nothing else works like Ribbies!

Now, in addition to the original clippies, the Ribbies brand includes many different styles of hair accessory, from basic hair bows, hair clips, headbands and other classic hair accessories to unique, trendy, colorful, fresh, and fun hair fashion for girls of all ages. The collection includes many products designed and produced exclusively by Ribbies. 

Lucie Costa de Beauregard — Owner, Design & Operations

Lucie Costa de Beauregard is a French mother of 3 living in London.

She discovered Ribbies amazing products in 2013 with her eldest daughter and then decided to start distributing the brand in Europe. Her two daughters wear Ribbies every day and there are Ribbies clippies in every single room of the house!

Lucie took over Ribbies business from founder Kim Marable in October 2017 when Kim decided to try new things. She operates the business from the United Kingdom.

Kim launched Ribbies in 2006 for her little girl's thin hair and popularity has been soaring thanks to their superior quality and charming styles.

Fashioned from a simple ribbon covered hair clip with a colour coordinated foam grip they proved to stay put better than any other clip on the market.

Distributed in 12 countries and a continuously growing collection ‘Ribbies’ are a style that will not date.
